A long wait is approaching to end as Bajaj-KTM is looking to launch the elder baby beast 200cc in India in upcoming years.....
There have been many rumors regarding the collaborative product but recent official talk about the bikes is that the price-tag of the motorcycle will be over one lakh. The range of street bikes will feature engines of capacity 125cc and more. The launch is somehow definite in the cities of Europe by the end of this year and the welcome season of 2011 will be the time for India to host some launches from the team. Bikes will be sold through Bajaj Autos Pro
Another news from the team is that they are going to launch a series of imported bikes from KTM in Indian market in the upcoming years. This will definitely boost competition with Kawasaki which is looking to launch powered bikes in Indian market. The only similarity between Kawasaki and KTM will be the partner Bajaj Autos, India.
KTM Duke 200 cc production
KTM has stated that Duke 200 cc will begin the production from March 2011 and the bike will be manufactured in Chakan plant of Bajaj Auto. However, KTM has no plans to launch the bike in Europe as well as Asia at the same time. So, Europeans will get the ‘Made in India’ Duke before us. KTM is also planning to launch a 350 cc Duke for European markets after the 125 cc.
KTM Duke 125cc or 200cc is just circulating like a tornado across the Internet for a very long time. Overdrive magazine reader Abhinay virkud has spotted a KTM Duke in Pune.
It is still unclear whether Indian market will receive the 125cc or 200cc, the more the displacement the better it will be positioned in India.
